OMEGA Processing Solutions Adds Merchant Analyst Role

July 5, 2017

Industry veteran, Kim Polark, fills newly created, vital position at locally based payments processor

OMEGA Processing Solutions announced today the hiring of payments industry veteran, Kim Polark, in the newly created position of Merchant Analyst. Kim works at OMEGA’s Fort Thomas, Kentucky, corporate office and reports to Director of Merchant Operations, Daena Sprafka.

With the increasing complexity of EMV/Chip Card technology, PCI and data protection regulations, Point-of-Sale system migration and new, non-traditional competitors, the need for an analyst with a specific skill set has become increasingly important.

“It’s essential for us to quickly analyze merchant data, reach decisions based on that analysis and adjust quickly. We can then use that knowledge to make decisions that positively impact our customers and their businesses,” explains Todd McHugh, President, OMEGA Processing Solutions.

Kim has over nine years of experience in various roles within the payments industry. She lives in Cincinnati with her husband and daughter.

Cincy Magazine, one of the leading business magazines in the Cincinnati Tri-State metroplex, puts OMEGA Processing Solutions on the 2013 Tri-State Success Awards team

The Tri-State Success Awards are judged by corporate criteria, and community involvement. Winners such as OMEGA Processing, celebrating its 10-year anniversary, to be feted at April 9 event.

[FORT THOMAS, Ky. ~ Feb. 14, 2013] Cincy Magazine one of the leading business magazines in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky marketplace, has thrown its ample brand behind one of the region’s success stories, OMEGA Processing Solutions (www.omegap.com), now celebrating its 10-year anniversary in 2013.

The Tri-State Success Awards from Cincy Magazine, known as “The Magazine for Business Professionals,” recognize the top companies based in the three-state metroplex of Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana. The 2013 version, to be celebrated at an awards luncheon on April 9 at the Sharonville Convention Center, is “founded on the premise that the Tri-State’s strength as a thriving business center, is entirely built upon the growth and success of the outstanding businesses in our community,” said Eric Harmon, publisher of Cincy Magazine (www.cincymagazine.com).

“What resonates with The Tri-State Success Awards isn’t just the accolades of business success, which are, in an of themselves, quite the virtue in the corporate world; we are also recognizing the most consistently successful companies in town, and those involved in community service,” Harmon said.

Specifically, criteria behind The Tri-State Success Award focus on accomplishments in both workforce dynamics, and community involvement. Companies were judged on a range of elements, and demonstrated growth; the latter manifested through revenue growth, such as the marked impact of an ever-expanding workforce, as witnessed by the expanded office, staff, data center and call center components at OMEGA Processing, based in Fort Thomas.

“Our success as a company, as measured at OMEGA Processing, is directly tied to the success that our merchants, clients and partners achieve on a daily basis,” said Scott Anderson, CEO of OMEGA Processing.

“In the community, we strive to not only lead the way in high-quality, highly-personalized customer service in the payments processing industry, but we want to be a part of this incredibly thriving community where we go home to our families every night,” said Todd McHugh, president of OMEGA.

OMEGA Turns 10

February 5, 2013

Horizontal anniversary logo with banner

A decade down the road, OMEGA Processing Solutions of Inc. 5000 fame celebrates the people, processes and pride that turned a start-up NKy. cards and payments processor into a national player

Fort Thomas company processes $1.5 billion in annual electronic payments volume. The priorities: Online security, world-class service, and a people-first presence.

[FORT THOMAS, Ky. ~ Feb. 5, 2013] In the beginning, before the high-powered, in-house data center; before the personal, professional touch of the OMEGA-staffed call center; before the awards, accolades, community sponsorships and perennial Inc. 5000 fame; and before the thousands of merchants, vendors and partners, there was Scott, and Todd, and the first person hired by OMEGA Processing Solutions, Daena Sprafka.

Scott Anderson and Todd McHugh, company founders, are still the CEO and President, providing the vision, direction, systems security and growth strategy for the long haul.

Daena Sprafka is still there, every day, maintaining efficient and effective operations control companywide, and making sure the tens of thousands of transactions processed daily by OMEGA Processing Solutions (www.omegap.com) leave the buyer happy, the banking systems secure, and the business owner paid.

Ten years down the road, the original Scott/Todd/Daena team has expanded exponentially with constantly-growing departments dedicated to customer service, tech support, product development, HR, sales, capital markets and a national network that recently opened a half-dozen new offices nationwide, all staffed by OMEGA Processing personnel.

“There are many things that make us special; none loom as large as the safety, and security, of the business owners who have placed their trust and faith in us, and the people here that get that job done,” said Anderson.

“We serve billion-dollar banks and the Mom-and-Pop stores on the corner, and businesses of every shape and size in between,” said McHugh. “What they all have in common, is they need to know that their deals are going to get done, their money is safe, and their information is secure.”

“The business world of 2013 has changed in ways we would never have even thought of when we started out,” said Sprafka, now the Director of Merchant Operations. “What has stayed the same, is the quality of people that OMEGA represents, the integrity of our systems, and the belief that we are doing the right thing for the people that matter the most in our lives: our families, our communities, and the clients and customers that we serve.”

The entire team at OMEGA Processing Solutions looks forward to another decade of serving the American public in general, and the consumer in particular; as well as the business owners, merchants, bankers, vendors and partners that have made OMEGA’s first 10 years so memorable.
